the perks of being a wallflower

Although the title may throw you off a bit thinking that it's a girly book and boring, it isn't at all. It's kind of a medium pace book that needs some thinking every once in a while because it can be hard to understand if you haven't read the few chapters at the beginning. The book as a whole is about a troubled fifteen year old struggling to understand himself and others during his first year of high school. The books is also written by a letter form, Charlie, the main character, feels as though he needs to tell someone about his days and about the way he feels so he proceeds to write to a complete stranger so he'll feel less of a loner and a weirdo.
The beginning of it starts off as a bit slow but then, it becomes a bit faster and more relatable and just completely amazing. I suggest you strongly read it because it contains teenagers dealing with drugs, alcohol and sex as well as bullying and sexuality. The book was entirely fascinating and just plain beautiful. It was so so great and I guarantee that you will absolutely enjoy it and you would want to get a sequel but there isn't any, unfortunately.

READ IT! THE LIBRARY HAS TWO COPIES, BTW.

Perfect Chemistry Review

Welcome readers,

This is very exciting! My very first book review! Fingers crossed, you'll enjoy it! Today, I will be talking about one of my favorite books ever! That being said I have lots of favorite books! Anyways, this book's title is Perfect Chemistry by Simone Alkeles. This is one of those very intriguing books I've read so far. You have no idea how engrossed I was(and still am).
The story takes place in the west coast, somewhat of the rural part of the state where gang fights, drug dealing and shootings aren't very shocking anymore since there's been so many of them and often. Alex Fuentes lives on that side, he's part of a gang called Latino Bloods. Obviously, the character is Hispanic; Mexican. Not only is he mexican, he's a gang member and currently attends High School. On the other hand, we have Brittany Ellis, the school's queen, a perfectionist with a secret. Her family isn't as perfect as it seems, she's not perfect, and everything becomes complicated. She has wealth. She's the head cheerleader of the school's cheer squad. She has everything she's ever wanted, her sister home, good grades and her jock of a boyfriend, but there's something missing. Will Alex Fuentes be able to help her find out what it is? Read it and find out!

Yours truly,
The book worm.
